For Term 2 we are learning about persuasive texts, and we read “The Day the Crayons Quit”. In the book, Duncan got all these messages from his crayons about things they want to change so we decided to pretend we were the crayons and write a letter back to him of complaints or feedback.
The reasons we wrote the letters was to help learn about emotive language. An emotive word helps create imagery for the reader and makes them feel emotions. We use emotive words show the reader how we feel and persuade them.
